Semester 1 2021 Successfully Cut Losses Up to 50%

The pandemic that has hit Indonesia in the past two years has been a very challenging period for the business world. PT Kota Satu Properti Tbk (SATU) as an issuer in the property and tourism sector is trying to optimize the company’s strategy by making efficiency in management and operations. The company’s net loss in semester 1 – 2021 was recorded at Rp. 4,831,335,034,-. From existing data, the company’s net loss in the same period the previous year was Rp. 9,656.360,242,- thus the net loss of the company decreased by +/-50%. The decrease in the company’s net loss was contributed by, among others, the decrease in the company’s operating income from Rp. 14.8 Billion to Rp. 6.3 billion or a decrease of Rp.8.55 billion.


Finance Director of PT Kota Satu Properti Tbk Hanna Priskilla revealed that the management carried out an efficiency strategy on all fronts in order to survive through the pandemic.


“remember that the pandemic lasted longer than expected, we are trying hard to reduce unnecessary expenses and optimize existing resources as part of anticipating a prolonged pandemic period. The decrease in losses of up to 50% is the result of hard work from all levels of employees, management, and support from all shareholders and stakeholders. Through an innovative and measurable development strategy, PT Kota Satu Properti Tbk is optimistic that the company’s business prospects in the future will be even better. Moreover, the government supports through several stimulus provided, including the extension of the Free VAT, the ease of applying for a mortgage, a reduction in the income tax rate on luxury residences from 5% to 1%, as well as the Employment Creation Law policy that provides various ease of requirements for investment. In addition, the development of Ungaran and Semarang Regency as rapidly developing service and industrial cities can affect the increase in property needs.
